Ultra short bearing section motors

USBS ultra short bearing section directional motors are engineered to have the shortest bit-to-bend bearing assembly: 17 in. with a 1° offset — to yield a 17.5° dog leg severity.

The 6 3/4-in. motors’ low offset, coupled with short bearing, is engineered to “provide better hole quality by giving operators a near gauge hole, consistent DLS throughout the well, and rpm not limited by the motor.” Models also eliminate the need to change motors when transitioning in the wellbore from the vertical to the curve to the lateral, even in high DLS wellbores.

Thunderstorm detector, early warning
for oil, gas, energy sectors

BTD-300 thunderstorm detectors deliver early warning to ensure oil, gas, wind, and energy personnel safety and to minimize downtime.

Unlike existing lightning systems that only alert after strikes have begun, the new design usees a quasi-electro-static oprating principle. It offers early warning of overhead lightning risk, detecting strikes as far away as 83 km.

Besides lightning, BTD-300 detects the presence of electrically charged precipitation and strong electric feld to indicate presence of cumulonimbus cloud overhead. It is practically immune to all forms of man-made radio frequency interference to minimize false alarms. Detectors either interface directly to an integrated system or may be operated using supplied display and logging software.

Hydrocarbon leak detection camera

New FV-3532-4 hydrocarbon leak detection cameras incorporate proprietary algorithms to detect pipeline and tank leakage of products including propane, gasoline, and diesel.

Models comprise a thermal imaging sensor and fxed view optical imager to detect hydrocarbon fuid or high-pressure gas leaks. A contact closure is activated and immediate alarm generated when a leak is detected within a user-defned zone.
