What’s New for Oil & Gas Operations
Drones inspect, explore inaccessible, confined indoor areas
Visual inspection of complex, cluttered, confned, hazardous-to-worker indoor spaces is
achieved with Elios Drones.
Te collision-resistant (15 km/h) designs deploy and are ready to gather visuals — within a
minute — and to perform entire inspections in hours rather than days — without scafolding,
rope access or cranes.
Among broad Elios applications are above-ground hydrocarbon or chemical storage tanks.
It recently conducted inspection of a radiant box for a manufacturer of refning infrastructure.
Elios features simultaneous full HD and thermal imagery recording with adjustable tilt angle,
onboard LEDs for navigation and inspection in darkness, and quick-change batteries.

New drilling technology testing facility
open near Tulsa OK
KTF Drilling Technology
Testing Facility is open for
companies innovating new
drilling, completion, and production petrophysical technologies.
Te new facility performs
tests with both oil and water-based muds on rotary steerable tools, MWD tools, drill
bits, fshing tools, solid control equipment, wireline, and
almost any downhole device.
KTF DT TF declares itself “the only 100% electric public testing facility.” Positioned on a 200-f-long track, the rig moves
in minutes, on the surface, between multiple wellbores to give
option of cased or open-hole tests.
Te facility’s mud system allows you to switch between oil-based and water-based drilling fuids in minutes.
About 30 miles west of Tulsa Oklahoma, KTF provides on-site living quarters, confdential customer ofce suite with a secure large-scale observation data room, and private conference
room where you can comfortably, securely, and confdentially
monitor testing.

Cased-hole evaluation via five-detector
array serves EOR
Raptor 2.0 is tested, proven
in more than 200 feld runs,
and commercially available
for enhanced oil recovery.
Te cased-hole evaluation
system “combines a pulsed-
neutron wireline logging
device with advanced petro-
physical workfows, a wide
range of answer products, and
support from a team of ex-
perienced production petro-
physicists to provide action-
able reservoir data.”
Raptor features “the frst
and only fve-detector array.”
Tis makes the system 250% more sensitive than traditional,
two-detector pulsed neutron tools. It provides high-fdelity
oil-water and gas-liquid saturation measurements to increase
reservoir knowledge during completion, production, and reju-
venation operations.
Te new system is engineered to look behind casing to identify a reservoir’s hydrocarbon type, location, and amount so
operators realize full potential asset values, it’s noted.
