Mr. Nigel Blackaby, Director of Conferences, PennWell International Power Group, United Kingdom
Nigel Blackaby is PennWell’s Director of Conferences, based in the UK offce. He is responsible for PennWell’s
international power industry conferences, holding the position of Conference Director for POWER-GEN Asia and
POWER-GEN Europe and is the company’s UK spokesman on global power industry matters. In addition to this,
Nigel is Event Director for POWER-GEN Middle East, POWER-GEN Africa and Distribu TECH Africa.
Nigel continues to lead a team of conference managers responsible for Renewable Energy World Asia, POWER-GEN
Russia, HydroVision Russia, POWER-GEN India and Central Asia, Renewable Energy World Europe, Water World
Middle East, Strategies in Light and Intelligent Aerospace.
Mr. Blackaby began his career at Penn Well as an international energy journalist, writing and editing daily news
and technical features covering the global power industry from electricity generation through to transmission and

Mr. Hwang-Jik Lee, Executive Vice President & CEO, Boiler Business Group, Doosan Heavy Industries &
Constructions Co., Ltd., Korea (South)
Mr. Hwang-Jik Lee is currently leading the global boiler (steam generator) operations of Doosan Heavy Industries &
Constructions, including UK based Doosan Babcock and Boiler R&D Center.
Mr. Lee started at Doosan Heavy Industries & Constructions as a Design Engineer for the Power Plant (Steam
Generator) division in 1979 before being promoted in 1996 to General Manager, Boiler Design & Engineering.
As a veteran boiler engineer for more than thirty years in Doosan Heavy Industries & Constructions, Mr. Lee has been
through key leadership positions including his previous roles of Head of Boiler Business Unit (2010-2013), project
management (2008 – 2010) & design/engineering ( 2002 – 2008).
Some of Mr. Lee’s major projects include Poryong 7~ 8 (500MW 2 units), Samcheonpo 1~2 (560MW 2 units),
Yeongheung 1~ 4 (800MW 8 units ) supercritical in Korea as well as Sipat 1~ 3 (600MW 3 units), Mundra UMPP
(800MW 5units) supercritical IPP in India.
In 2014, Mr. Lee was awarded the Bronze Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit.
