PLUG REMEDIATION ON AN OFFSHORE FACILITY

The presentation will discuss the methods and constraints that were used to unplug a pig that was lodged in a 6-inch 15k piggable loop
pipeline for more than two years.
George Bonin, Production Superintendent, Petrobras was the on-location person in charge of the operation during the time of remediation
of the plug of this fowline.
RAISING OF OFFSHORE PLATFORMS/LIMA FACILITY
John Greeves, Director of Technology, Versabar
John Greeves will provide a presentation on the raising of three ( 3) topsides, two fair structures and all interconnecting bridges 4 meters
in one synchronous operation off the coast of Jakarta. Dr. Greeves will address the challenges presented: Low clearances, maintaining
lateral stability, keeping platforms in a storm safe condition and equipment location on crowed platforms and bridges.
John Greeves is the Technical Director and a shareholder of the Versabar Group of Companies. He holds a PhD in civil/structural
engineering and is a UK registered chartered engineer. He has worked in the oil and gas industry for over 25 years including 10 years for
Shell International in a variety of positions from design engineer to project manager on projects around the world. He currently provides
oversight and business guidance in conjunction with the company’s model of seeking innovative solutions and technical innovations for
energy sector challenges both domestically and internationally.
THE IMPORTANCE OF ACCURATE WEIGHT AND CENTER OF GRAVITY CALCULATIONS

Regardless of whether you are on a greenfeld or brownfeld project, accurate topsides weight and center of gravity calculations are
essential to the successful operation of any foating facility. This presentation will discuss the methods and requirements for weight and
center of gravity calculations and reporting, including those used on the Delta House FPS.
Taylor Persac Gulotta, PE is a Project Engineer at Audubon Engineering Solutions and has over seven years of experience in the oil and
gas industry. She has worked as a civil/structural engineer on a wide range of upstream and petrochemical projects, including multiple
offshore platforms. Gulotta served as weight control engineer for the LLOG Delta House Project. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil
Engineering from Louisiana State University.
